I just wanted to take a little while to find out what your interests are in the reading realm. Tell me about your favorite books and/ or authors! My all-time favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee. You all will get to read that next year in the tenth grade. I don't really have just one favorite author. I like Sue Monk Kidd, Joyce Carol Oates, John Cheever, John Irving, and many others.
If you do not have a favorite author or book, that's okay! By the end of this school year, we'll have found you both!

Sites you might want to visit:
http://www.garageband.com/
This site has music on it that can be shared legally. Just look for the shared music symbol right underneath the song title. It looks like a little square with a CC that is intertwined in the middle of it.

Here, you can access online resources to help you with research, including DISCUS. You can also have access to the district research guide, which can even be viewed from your home.
www.sparknotes.com
This is a great SUPPLEMENTARY site. You can read about the works that you are studying, and even look through sample study questions. This a great tool to help you understand your literature!
